“Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”
― Martin Luther King Jr.
Dear Partners and Friends,
We have so much to share with you! We welcomed Ron, our partner and friend, earlier this month and filled his week with many exciting things.
- Had an evening with friends. Introduced Ron to Sally Jansen & family. Sally has been working with Jenn on our social media presence. If you don’t follow us yet on Facebook or Instgram, please do! It’s a great way of keeping up on the day to day happenings.
- Had a night of fellowship, prayer, food and laughter with the board of directors, friends and family. Ron shared his heart and gave us valuable insight and understanding of current conditions in Haiti.
- Saturday August 2nd, Greg, Jenn, Susie and Ron drove NINE LARGE TOTES of school supplies, hygiene supplies, outdoor camping equipment such as blankets, tarps, solar powered lights, mosquito nets and a small solar powered generator to Indianapolis, IN to Shipp Ex. From there, the supplies are taken to Miami and loaded onto a ship bound for Haiti. Please pray all the supplies arrive safety to the school. Our school administrator and security guard will go to the port and collect the totes. WE CAN’T THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR THE GENEROUS DONATIONS. We are so blessed with the best partners and friends.
- Sunday, Ron and Jenn spoke at The Point Church with Pastor Tim, and gave an update on the school and what is happening in Haiti. PRAISE GOD, our school is currently open for registration and school will begin Sept. 2nd. As of today, 34 new students have registered in addition to many returning students. We anticipate over 300 students attending Sorbonne Christian Academy this year.
- We are looking into Starlink for reliable internet for our teachers and staff.
- A gas powered generator will be purchased in Haiti. The area our school is in is still without power. The generator is needed to pump water from our wells into a cistern so we can continue to provide clean and safe drinking water.
- A larger solar powered generator will be purchased soon and sent on the next shipment to Haiti. We already have two donors partnering with us to purchase this item. Total cost is $2,500 and to date we have $1,100 committed. Can you help us get to $2,500?
With Heartfelt Gratitude,
Jenn

Ron shared powerful testimony of the abuses happening in Haiti and how our school is a light and a beacon of hope for so many. We are so excited to be opening our doors and welcoming our students back September 2nd.
Did you know?
- We will be adding 12 Staff this school year
- we will have two kindergarten classrooms
- we are starting the middle school this year
- our nurse keshna is excited to return
- construction is still slated for 2026
- we have been the only school in the area that supported their staff and families through this difficult time. That alone says how faithful and wonderful our friends and partners are. Thank you.
- The gangs so far have stayed out of our little community. Our buildings are secure and undamaged. The big city of mirebalais is under gang control but god continues to protect our school and our families. Praise god.
- We need more partners. Please prayerfully consider teaming with us and donating monthly to operationoutpour.org. Any amount is welcome. All of us together make a difference.
Stay tuned for more updates as the school year kicks off. Remember to follow us on instagram & facebook!
