I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever;
with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known
through all generations.
I will declare that your love stands firm forever,
that You have established your faithfulness in heaven itself.
Psalm 89:1-2
Dear Friends,
We have so much to share with you all. God is moving in big ways at Sorbonne Christian Academy (SCA), and we couldn’t be more excited. Before we discuss all the updates and happenings at the school, I’m sure many of you have questions regarding Haiti’s current condition. Not much has changed regarding gang presence and destruction. Gangs are still occupying the town of Mirebalais, which is approximately 15 minutes by car from our school and community. You have probably heard us say that we believe God has a shield of protection over our school; we completed the first two trimesters with no interruption from gang activity!
By God’s beautiful grace and mercy, our school is a safe sanctuary for so many in these turbulent times in Haiti. We are seeking more people to partner with our school community and us. Our monthly budget averages $10,500, and we currently have fewer partners than before. We know that you support many worthy causes; we ask you to pray and see if the Lord leads you to partner with Operation Outpour as well. Any level of partnership is welcome. We promise to be faithful and good stewards of your offerings. We also welcome any questions you have regarding our ministry and the school. We love to share stories, achievements, and growth with all of you. We pray that God would bless each of you for your faithful support. We could not do this without you!
With sincere gratitude,
The Board of Operation Outpour
Construction on the School Addition Has Officially Started!
Construction has begun on our next set of classrooms. We are adding another level to one of our buildings to provide five more classrooms to accommodate our growing school. In the fall, we will add grade 7 and one additional classroom for another grade. We anticipate that these five classrooms will meet our projected space needs through the 2028–2029 school year.
God opened doors we thought were shut. Because gangs control many aspects of the areas around our school, we were unsure about procuring high-quality building materials. Through Ron’s connections and his commitment to excellence, we were able to obtain the materials we needed and have them delivered safely using a more secure route than we originally thought possible. All of this is critical not only for current construction, but may also be needed for future projects.
Ron is receiving weekly photo updates so that we can monitor and celebrate the progress. Please keep the construction project in your prayers.

We are Glad to Welcome Our New Nurse
Many of you remember reading about our nurse, Keshna. Unfortunately, due to last year’s gang activity, she relocated with her family, and the commute to work was not manageable long-term. We are thankful and excited to share that we hired Ms. Estime as our new nurse. We are excited to welcome her to our SCA family. Please keep her in your prayers as she tends to our students.
Supplies Arrive and New Options Open
A huge THANK YOU to so many of you who donated to our Amazon School Supply Wish list. We now have two avenues for shipping supplies to our school.
One option costs a bit more and has more restrictions, but it reaches Haiti in approximately two weeks. This mail option costs $4.50 a pound and ships by air from Miami. We mailed three boxes two weeks ago, filled with much-needed basic medical supplies for the nurse, along with some school supplies and outdoor toys for the kids. Imagine their faces when the students see all the new soccer and volleyballs that you provided!
The heavier school supplies, such as paper, puzzles, sound equipment for the church service, and laptops, will need to be shipped by boat, which can take up to four months to arrive. We will send those soon so that they will arrive in time for the next school year. We plan to keep the Amazon School Supply Wish List open at all times and will add supplies and medicine as the need arises.
Growing Opportunities Through Technology
Ron and the staff at SCA wish to start a computer lab to provide students with essential technology skills and open doors to future employment opportunities. Thanks to generous donations, we secured eight refurbished Chromebooks, but we welcome your suggestions on the best way to acquire more! Eventually, we hope to secure 30 to 40 Chromebooks or laptops. Starlink is up and running, providing much-needed internet access. This is a huge benefit for our staff as it makes record-keeping more efficient and saves much valuable time in submitting required educational data to the government.
With Thankful Hearts: 10,000 Meals and Counting
As of this writing, we have officially served over 10,000 weekend meals to our students, their families, and community members. All are welcome to enjoy a meal provided by our wonderful weekend staff of two cooks and one helper. On Sundays, larger crowds come to enjoy a meal together, but more importantly, to hear the Gospel! Approximately a month ago, we welcomed Pastor Fafa to start our very own church service after the Sunday meal. Although our students hear about the love of Jesus every day at school, many family members and those in the community haven’t heard the good news and now they do! Praise God! Our friend, fellow board member, and school director, Ron Watson, receives sincere messages of gratitude from many community members thanking us (YOU) for providing not only a meal but also the message of love and hope that only our Lord Jesus Christ can provide.

Please Pray!
Praise God for answered prayer. We asked and our faithful God provided!
We were able to hire a new nurse, Ms. Estime, for the school and ship her some much-needed medical supplies.
Ron Watson and his team were successful in their search for a pastor for our weekend services. We thank God for Pastor Fafa.
God provided a secure alternative route to get the building materials to the school for the new classrooms.
Please pray for more partners who will commit to regular financial support for Operation Outpour.
Pray for our new nurse, Ms. Estime, as she begins her new position tending to the health and medical needs of our students.
During the construction at the school, please pray for minimal disruption to our students and staff, safety for our workers, and God’s blessing on the entire project.
Please continue to pray that we would see God’s vision clearly and understand how Operation Outpour is called to partner with the people of Haiti to educate, reduce poverty, and foster lasting economic stability, for God’s glory.
