February 2026, Volume 10
I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;
I will sing of you among the peoples.
For great is your love, reaching to the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let your glory be over all the earth.
Psalm 57:9-11
Dear Friends and Partners,
We are over a month into 2026 and already have a lot to be thankful for!
As we look back over 2025, we see evidence of God’s love and faithfulness through challenging and good times. The school has grown, the families have been protected through the unrest, nutritious meals are provided on the weekends, and the good news of Jesus’ love is shared daily with the children.
We are excited about what God has in store for Operation Outpour this year! Look ahead with us to see where God is leading and consider how you might partner with us in even greater ways this year. We are forever grateful for the support you provide through faithful giving, attending fundraising events, and praying for this ministry!
Sorbonne Christian Academy is Growing!
God continues to expand the reach of the school. When it first opened in 2019, we had 43 registered students in kindergarten through third grade. The school has grown in both the number of students attending as well as the grade levels offered. For the 2025-2026 school year, the number of students registered at Sorbonne Christian Academy has grown to 309 students in K-3 through grade six!
Looking ahead to the 2026 school year, the Lord willing, we plan to add grade seven along with at least one additional class section. As enrollment grows, so does our need for more learning space. To meet this need, construction is scheduled to begin in March on an addition that will include five new classrooms, meeting our projected space needs through the 2028–2029 school year. We are thankful for the diligent work of Ron Watson as he coordinates this upcoming project.

Spelling Competition
Sorbonne Christian Academy (SCA) held its first school-wide spelling competition. The hope is that they will add a competition related to Haiti’s history and general knowledge. Eventually, SCA hopes to host a competition between local schools. We are confident our students will excel and bring greater visibility to the Christ-centered education they are receiving.

Impact of the School on the Community
As the school continues to grow, its impact reaches far beyond the classroom and into the surrounding community. We’ll be sharing these impact stories in upcoming newsletters. For now, consider the many jobs created in the community by the presence of a school – teachers, cooks, food service staff, construction workers, carpenters, and those who provide transportation for students each day. The large unemployment rate and number of people who experience extreme poverty affect all areas of life. Providing employment and education are two direct ways to address the needs of the people of Haiti. Operation Outpour is having an impact – thank you for being a part of this!
Weekend Meals
Although the students and staff have been offered meals each school day, many had little to eat over the weekend. In December, we began serving meals on both Saturday and Sunday, thanks to your generous support! In December of 2025, Operation Outpour served 1,794 weekend meals and another 345 meals at the Christmas party. Looking ahead, we would like to add a worship service along with the weekend meal. Will you join us in praying for a pastor to lead the families in worship, Bible study, and prayer?

Upcoming Pop Up Boutique
Please join us! Here is another simple way that you can support the work of Operation Outpour. Of course, all proceeds go to support our school in Haiti.

Please Pray!
Praise God for answered prayer:
-
- The community has been blessed with stability and peace for the last few months.
- The needed supplies and food have all reached the school safely.
- The school grounds are becoming a sanctuary for the community.
Pray for more partners who will commit to monthly financial support for Operation Outpour.
Pray for Ron and his team as he continues to search for a pastor for our weekend services and a part-time nurse to provide health care through the school.
Pray for the upcoming construction project. Specifically, pray for the construction workers and that God would pave the way for procuring the needed materials.
Pray that we would see God’s vision clearly and understand how Operation Outpour is called to partner with the people of Haiti to educate, reduce poverty, and foster lasting economic stability, for God’s glory.
