November, 2025 Volume 8

Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise;

give thanks to Him and praise His name.

For the Lord is good and His love endures forever;

His faithfulness continues through all generations.

Psalm 100:4-5

Dear Sally,

November is a month in which we reflect on all we are thankful for. We are very thankful for your support, partnership, and prayers for Operation Outpour. God is at work at our school in Haiti, and we are excited to share what He is doing! We have a few events coming up soon, so make sure to check out the details below. We hope you’ll join us!

A New School Year Has Begun

The school year is off to a start full of both challenges and joys! Monday, October 6, was the first official day of the 2025-2026 school year for the students at Sorbonne Christian Academy. We are incredibly grateful for God’s providence and protection that allowed the students to return for the new school year. To start the day, the families and staff gathered at the school for an hour of worship, thanking God for bringing them through the previous school year and dedicating the upcoming year to His glory. Inspired by our school community in Haiti, many of you gathered in your homes to pray and worship early on that Monday morning as well. We thank God for each of you and the blessing you are to the ministry!

Increased Gang Activity
Sadly, after only one week of school, gang activity increased over the weekend. Many were fleeing because of the danger in the area. For the safety of everyone, a decision was made to close the school until the school leadership team determined that it was safe to return. We are thankful that the school was able to reopen again on Monday, October 20 and the families have gradually begun to return. We continue to ask that you keep the school families and staff in your prayers as the danger is never far away.

Back Again, and Growing!
God is faithful! The number of students attending each day continues to grow. We praise God as we hear the daily attendance – 133 students, then 150, then 226! Soon, all of the registered students will be back. Praise God for His protection, for his faithfulness, and that His light shines bright at Sorbonne Christian Academy!
